What is a diptych you may ask? A diptych is usually a painting made of two small parts, which are normally joined by hinges. In this case, Larry Gekiere – Artist created this diptych as two fairly large custom oil paintings of two lovely fur companions joined by a theme.

The Crystal Charity Ball‘s sole purpose, since 1952, has been to aid, support and make contributions to children’s charities in Dallas County. Larry Gekiere – Artist is proud to donate a custom oil painting to the Crystal Charity Ball’s auction every year. The lucky bidder, in addition to supporting children’s charities in Dallas County, becomes the owner of a custom oil painting for themselves or as a gift to a friend or loved one.

As I shared with you back in April, I offered up a gift certificate as a donation to the Kibble and Cocktails event to benefit DFW Rescue Me’s Justice Fund. A lovely lady was the lucky bidder and commissioned me to paint a portrait of her beloved Tracker. And she wanted a custom oil painting just the right size for her favorite bookshelf.
